Built in the early 1990’s, the Spruce Street residence was a 4-level home designed in true 90’s style. It was adorned with a triangular window, randomly curved walls, sunken rooms, an overly wide staircase and paint colors to match the inside of a Valentine’s day conversation hearts candy box. The homeowner purchased the home in 1992 and has lived there ever since. During the winter of 2014, the client was ready for the home to be remodeled and we stepped into the project to work on the kitchen and master bathroom design. However, the project quickly grew and we added new flooring, paint, window treatments and lighting throughout the home as well. The functionality of the home was increased by widening the tight galley kitchen and rearranging the master bathroom layout. We also updated the living room fireplace and purchased new furniture for the kitchen nook and living room. Spruce Street has had a total transformation and is now a reflection of the homeowner's eclectic taste, and it has been brought to a whole new level of style and comfort.
